How do I connect my PS2 to the online community?(I have one of the old PS2s, the big ones)?

I have looked far and wide but I would like a strait forward answer, can I connect my old PS2 to the internet? or must I buy a network adapter?

You must buy a Network adapter for the old PS2.


You also need a broadband Internet connection where you can connect with an Ethernet cord (e.g. a DSL or Cable modem or even better a Router).





Then you connect the Network adapter to the PS2, and insert the Network Access Disc. You follow the step by step instructions and let the PS2 save your settings to a Memory Card.





After this, you can play games online.
