Online poetry communities that would welcome songwriters as well?

I am looking for an online poetry community in which I can grow and exchange ideas with other poets and songwriters. I just googled it, so I can see that they are not all equal. It would be great if such a community would offer a chance to exchange specific, constructive feedback--not simply negative criticism or quick, snarky one-liners. lol

Suggestions?

Please suggest poetry/songwriting communities with which you or someone you know has had a good experience.

Thanks.

i don't know of any...but I agree.

There should be a forum to exchange ideas and info and get constructive criticism..for poets and songwriters...

although i would be sure to have my work copywritten before posting them on-line...its far too easy to have your work stolen.
Reply:I'd recommend you check out Neopoet.com. It's a little on the smaller side-- just a 1,000 members or so, but it's really intimate and friendly.

For an example, check out the feedback on this poem--

If you are the type that contributes as much constructive criticism as you take, I think you'll fit in really well.
Reply:I don't know, but I thought I would check out your answers, caus I would like to find one or two myself.
Reply:Hi, Indi! I'm a member and moderator over at www.absolutewrite.com (20,000+ members). We have a poetry forum as well as a songwriting forum--both extremely well moderated, with opportunity for learning and constructive feedback.
