Does it bother you when you are critisized online by the yahooo community?

OK i hate when people critisise how you spell on here. why is it SUCH a big deal. i mean i can understand if you just cant read anything they wrote but if its just a couple typos i mean COME ON! We did not come on here for you to yell at me and tell me i spelt sophisticated wrong! who really cares? it really isnt that important. what if i was in a hurry and needed an answer fast. i dont care if i spelt anything wrong, as long as you can read it. i dont just get mad when people do it to me, but when i see someone else doing it i yell at them to. its just a waste of time to point it out.

Some of the questions I have answered have been very badly spelled, but so what!? If someone needs and answer they need an answer, not a spelling lesson!
Reply:To me it doesn't matter. I figure I am intelligent enough to understand even a poorly spelled question. I think most people understand that on the Internet you are often typing quickly and make errors.
Reply:Nope: I am just doing just fine here today also I'd try to

help much as possible can
Reply:I guess we should just take the time to be certain that everything is spelled correctly. It reflects badly on you if you cannot spell.

I have noticed what seems to be a trend in the way spelling no longer matters.

In my personal professional opinion as a small business owner I would not hire anyone who is unable to spell. It illustrates a lack of attention to detail or out right stupidity.

There really is no excuse because even here you have a button that says, "check spelling". Not too mention the fact that every word editing program has a spell check on it and there also exists many on-line dictionaries.

To each their own really but it reflects poorly on the individual and quite possibly society as a whole because it begs the question as to what is being taught to the youth in this country.

Take care.

(I used the spell check feature)
Reply:Oh....and I thought your question was something of substance. It's a big deal because most of us paid enough attention in school that we actually learned to spell correctly and we learned to have enough pride in ourselves to want to represent ourselves as educated people. Additionally, and perhaps, most importantly, there's an little thing call a "spell check" right there where you ask the question! It's not hard to use and doesn't take a lot of time. It's not always helpful, but it can often find those typos you speak of and can correct them before you post the question and people get the chance to criticize the spelling. Y'know...like how you spelled "criticized" wrong, for instance.
Reply:people who critize your spelling have no lives
Reply:The thing is that yahoo has a spell checker.Bad spelling makes someone look dumb and that is not always the truth. Some of the smartest people I know could not spell cat.
Reply:I usually don't criticise someone's spelling unless it is really bad.
Reply:sounds like people that point out misspelled words have WAY too much time on their hands!
